Less well known than the Verdon gorges, the Baudinard gorges are just as worth visiting!

Whether on foot or by canoe, you will be dazzled by its wild beauty and lush nature.

Located between Lake Quinson and the Sainte-Croix lake dam, its narrow canyon is surrounded by impressive cliffs plunging straight into the turquoise water.

The Baudinard gorges consist of two small lakes, Lake Artignosc and Lake Montpézat.

Moreover, this protected natural site is full of treasures such as caves dating back to prehistory or some sublime waterfalls.

In short, you will quickly fall under the spell of this idyllic setting, an excellent alternative to the very touristy Galetas bridge.

The village is located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department (04) in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Moustiers lies at the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park and is also within the UNESCO Global Geopark. It is close to exceptional natural areas: the Vénascle plateau, Lake Sainte-Croix, the Verdon Gorges, and the Valensole Plateau. Numerous outdoor activities are available.

The first lavender fields are located a 10-minute drive from Moustiers, towards the village of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon. The lavender blooms between mid-June and mid-July. You will find the most beautiful flowers between the last week of June and the beginning of July.

Perched on a hill in the Luberon, the village of Grambois is a true postcard setting, full of authenticity and Provençal charm. Its cobbled streets, golden-stone houses and shaded square have long inspired filmmakers: several scenes from the famous film “My Father’s Glory”, adapted from the work of Marcel Pagnol, were shot here.

As you stroll through the village, you will easily recognize the café square and the façades that served as film locations. Time seems to have stopped, offering a peaceful and timeless atmosphere.

Grambois is also the perfect starting point for beautiful walks among vineyards, hills and forests, with the gentle landscapes of the Luberon as a backdrop. An unmissable visit for lovers of Provence, cinema and authenticity.

Hiking in the Méouge Gorges

The Gorges de la Méouge are a small canyon carved by the Méouge river, classified as a protected natural area.

The site is known for its turquoise waters, natural pools, waterfalls, and unspoiled atmosphere.

This is an unmissable family hike and swim in the region, ideal in spring and summer.

The canal warden's path is a very beautiful hike, which runs along the lower Verdon gorges.

It's quite easy with breathtaking scenery as you follow the emerald blue of the Verdon.

This is one of the most beautiful hikes to do, more accessible than the Martel trail and shorter.
